Meet Jonathan.

Jonathan is a veteran market intelligence strategist with over 30 years of experience designing and leading custom research engagements that inform business decisions and shape strategic direction. With deep expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods, he specializes in integrating diverse data sources to generate holistic insights about customers, markets, products, and brands. 

Throughout his career, Jonathan has collaborated with cross-functional teams across industries—spanning technology, consumer goods, and financial services—to support product development, brand evolution, and customer experience strategy. His research portfolio includes concept testing, pricing, feature prioritization, brand identity, advertising evaluation, customer satisfaction, and Net Promoter Score programs. 

Jonathan has conducted research in more than 35 countries, with experience on both the client and supplier sides. He has led engagements for organizations such as Apple, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Intuit, Coors Brewing Company, Pepsi, Kikkoman, Oral-B, and AAA, delivering actionable insights grounded in both analytical rigor and cultural sensitivity. 

He holds a BA in Sociology from Cal Poly Humboldt and an MBA from San Francisco State University. Fluent in the language of business and conversant in Japanese, Jonathan brings a global perspective to his work—balancing methodological depth with practical impact. 

Outside of work, Jonathan is an avid skier and lifelong boating enthusiast. He splits his time between Bend, Oregon and Tokyo, where he enjoys exploring the cultural intersections of place, language, and everyday life.
