Meet Laura.
Laura is an experienced design research leader with over 18 years of helping organizations uncover what truly matters to their customers. Equal parts strategist, storyteller, and systems thinker, she brings a holistic and human-centered approach to CX and service design—merging qualitative depth with quantitative clarity to inform thoughtful, end-to-end experiences.
With a Master's degree in Human-Centered Design and Engineering and a foundation in Marketing, Laura draws from a rich academic and professional background to elevate digital, physical, and emotional touchpoints. She has led research initiatives for global tech companies such as Amazon and PayPal, as well as mission-driven organizations including Seattle Children’s and REI. Her work is grounded in empathy, cultural fluency, and a commitment to designing with, not just for, people.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and the subtleties of human nuance, Laura brings a culturally informed lens to every engagement, shaped by her life and work across North and Central America. She has also contributed to the next generation of changemakers through teaching and curriculum development at the University of Washington, Seattle Central College, and Miami Ad School.
Outside of work, Laura finds joy in movement, nature, and community wellness. She splits her time between the Pacific Northwest and Miami, often found hiking coastal trails or paddling alongside her partner and their pup. Her favorite destination is Costa Rica, where she connects with her “tica” roots amid family and rainforest, and she’s currently setting her sights on Brazil—for its vibrant culture, history, and dance.
